St. Mary's Catholic Church is located in the southwestern Iowa town of Avoca.  Six miles east of Avoca is the town of Walnut, Iowa.  Located there is our mission church - St. Patrick's Catholic Church.  Both churches are part of the Diocese of Des Moines.  These two churches are under the pastoral guidance of Rev. Tom Dooley.

We feel this is a timely way to get our message and information out to current and prospective members.  This website allows us to reach people we may never have been able to reach before.  Please use this site frequently to access the information about our two churches and the things going on at them.  Please see the calendar for mass times and locations.

April 7th
Holy Saturday Easter Vigil begins at 8:00pm at St. Patrick’s, Walnut.

April 8th
Easter Sunday Masses are 8:00am at St. Patrick’s, Walnut and 10:30am at St. Mary’s, Avoca

April 10th
Adult Faith Committee meeting will begin at 7pm at St. Mary’s in Avoca.

April 18th
St. Mary’s May Group of the Month will meet at 5:30pm on the patio to plan the May liturgy
